Germans are ready for electric cars: According to a recent study, one-in-two Germans could envisage buying an electric car in the next five years. Starting Monday, 1,500 scientists and managers are meeting in Leipzig to discuss how best to overcome obstacles to production. Industry giants such as BMW have only just started preparing assembly lines for mass production, but a small company in the state of Hesse is already miles ahead.
